I have loved art for a life time as a participant and appreciating the art of others. I was fortunate to have amazing art teachers who inspired and guided that love. As a career educator myself, my classes included art as often as possible. Upon retirement, I redefined myself as an artist and this wonderful journey is in full swing!

I especially love the fiber arts and began making baskets twenty years ago. I use a variety of materials from nature: apple, willow, a variety of barks, cedar, bamboo, sweet grass, bullrush, ivy, wisteria, driftwood, or anything from the yard that piques my interest.

My work with baskets is interrupted sometimes when a felted wool project calls to me. Or it may be a stone that begs to be wrapped in bamboo or other natural materials.  It might even be a broom or a piece of jewelry. My art life is diverse and makes life a joy!

I am grateful to have a studio in which to work and  enjoy having friends over to spend a fun day at play. I also teach classes.

Please contact me and let me help you bring out the artist in you!
